Ingredients
  

  • For the dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free butter
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves or jam
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup poppy seed filling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet.
  • Mix dry ingredients. Stir flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder until blended.
  • Blend wet ingredients. Add butter, milk, vanilla, and orange zest.
  • Knead the dough. Form it into a ball. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out dough. Flatten to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut circles.
  • Fill cookies. Add a small spoonful of filling.
  • Shape into triangles. Fold edges and pinch corners.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let them cool.
