- 6 Roma tomatoes
- 2 jalapeños
- 1 small onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Put tomatoes, jalapeños, onion, and garlic on a baking sheet.
Drizzle with olive oil and roast for 20 minutes.
Let them cool a bit.
Put them in a blender or food processor.

Blend until smooth or a little chunky.
