Heat a pan on low heat. Toast the flour until golden.
Stir all the time so it does not burn. Let it cool.
In a bowl, mix flour, powdered milk, sugar, and salt.
Add melted butter, ube halaya, and ube extract. Mix well.
Stir until the mix becomes soft dough.
If using, add crushed toasted nuts.
Scoop with a polvoron mold. Press firmly.
Release and place on a tray with parchment paper.
Do this until all the mix is used.
Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Wrap each piece in paper if you like.
Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
