Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soft butter for topping

Instructions
 

Step 1:

  • Activate yeast. Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Wait 10 minutes.

Step 2:

  • Mix dry items. Combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.

Step 3:

  • Mix wet items. Add eggs, melted butter, and vanilla to yeast mix.

Step 4:

  • Make dough. Slowly add wet mix to dry mix. Knead until smooth.

Step 5:

  • Let dough rise. Cover and leave for 1 hour until doubled in size.

Step 6:

  • Shape dough. Divide into small balls.

Step 7:

  • Add topping. Mix brown sugar and butter. Spread on dough balls.

Step 8:

  • Bake. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 9:

  • Cool and serve. Let bread cool before eating.

Notes

  • Use warm, not hot, milk for yeast.
  • Knead dough until soft and smooth.
  • Let dough rise in a warm spot.
  • Do not overbake, or bread will be dry.
  • Brush with butter for a shiny look.
