Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Dry the scallops with paper towels.
  • Mix paprika, garlic, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub scallops with olive oil, then sprinkle seasoning.
  • Heat a pan on medium-high. Add oil.
  • Put scallops in the pan. Keep space between them.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Flip and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Add butter and lemon juice. Spoon it over scallops.
  • Remove from heat and add parsley.
  • Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Always dry scallops before cooking.
  • Use a hot pan to get a good crust.
  • Don’t move scallops while they cook.
  • Don’t overcook; they get chewy.
  • Fresh scallops taste best.
