- 4 big russet potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon crumbled
- 1/4 cup green onions chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Boil the Potatoes: Peel and cut potatoes into small pieces. Boil them in salty water for 15 minutes until soft.
Drain and Mash: Drain the water. Mash the potatoes until smooth.
Add Dairy:Mix in butter, sour cream, and milk. Stir until creamy.
Season Wel: Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Load Them Up: Mix in half of the cheese and half of the bacon.
Transfer to Baking Dish: Put the mashed potatoes in a greased baking dish.

Bake: Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes until cheese melts.
Garnish and Serve: Take out of the oven, top with green onions, and serve hot.
