Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Heat butter in a pan on medium until fully melted.
  • Add onions and celery. Cook until soft.
  • In a large bowl, add crumbled cornbread.
  • Add the cooked onions and celery.
  • Add the seasonings: salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, sage and thyme.
  • Stir well until mixed.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and stir again.
  • Add beaten eggs and mix well.
  • Pour the mix into the greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
  • Take it out of the oven and let it cool.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

  • Use fresh cornbread for the best taste.
  • Do not mix too much to keep it fluffy.
