Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter cold
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 lb spicy sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg for brushing
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

Step 1: Make the Dough

  • Mix flour, salt, and butter in a bowl. Add water slowly. Knead until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Cook the Filling

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Add sausage, onions, and peppers. Cook until brown. Add paprika and black pepper. Stir well. Remove from heat. Mix in cheese. Let it cool.

Step 3: Roll the Dough

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut into squares.

Step 4: Fill and Seal

  • Put some filling onto each dough square. Fold over and press edges. Seal with a fork.

Step 5: Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place hot pockets on a baking sheet. Coat with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until browned.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for a flaky crust.
  • Let the filling cool before adding to the dough.
  • Press edges well to stop leaks.
  • Brush with egg for a golden crust.
  • Serve hot for the best taste.
